The Foundation launched its first program in the Middle East in 2010, focusing on the West Bank and Gaza. The Foundation works with the Ministry of Health of the Palestinian Authority and UNWRA (the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) to provide pneumococcal vaccination for newborns in the West Bank and Gaza.
